Hotels in Sri Lanka: I keep looking Booking.com Your genius loyalty program offers 10-20% discounts and free breakfast/upgrades for certain hotels for accommodation.
Flights to Sri Lanka: When researching flights, I always check Skyscanner First, because it brings flight options for all airlines and saves them the effort to search each airline individually. When booking flights via Skyscanner, I always book directly with the airline and not with one of the options of third parties.
Public transport in Sri Lanka: 12GO is the best place to book the transport (buses, trains, ferries) from A to B in many Asian countries.
Car rental in Sri Lanka: Check on your travels when renting a car Discovercars.com for the best offers.
Activities in Sri Lanka: If you want to book tours or other organized activities on your travels, Getyourguide And Viator Both offer countless options for funny things that you can do around the world (remember: sailing trips, cooking courses, hiking tours in the city and much more).
Travel insurance for Sri Lanka: If you cannot easily afford to pay for huge unexpected medicinal bills, do not travel without travel insurance! Nowadays I usually buy that Safety wing Nomad Insurance, because it is very affordable and directs digital nomads with a monthly subscription option. I was also for many years World Nomad Users and will continue to use them if I need more comprehensive insurance (e.g. for adventure activities) or when I visit the USA (Americans are not an option for Safety Wing’s US Add option).
ESIM / SIM cards for Sri Lanka: When I travel overseas, I always buy an ESIM from Sims directly For the country in which I go, activate it before I leave, and as soon as I arrive, I am automatically connected to the local network and can easily find my accommodation. It is not necessary to buy a local SIM card at the airport. Esims are completely electronic and do not require you to take out your old SIM.
BAGGAGE: I am currently a luggage girl in July (July Australia / July US). They offer a lifelong guarantee that I have now used several times – and every time they sent me a brand new replacement case without any problems. I recommend your Check-Plus if you travel with £ 32 kg/70 pounds (note: Many airlines do not make it so difficult!), The check if you drive with 23 kg/50 pounds of luggage, and the Carry on Light (expanded), which is super light and really helps you stay within the 7 kg transmission limit, which is transferred to many AusSie-Assie-Airlines with 7 kg.
