When I look for a few shorts for the summer, I want you to feel good, move well and still look decent. I recently tried the Roark Happy Camper shorts and you definitely have a lot for you. The fabric is light, the bags are well thought out and they kept great during a full camping weekend. Nevertheless, something about the overall design keeps me back from calling it my favorite. They are comfortable and functional, but I keep thinking about what they look like every time I wear them.
Let me break a little more detail.
Fit and feel
First of all, the material is immediately noticeable. These shorts consist of ninety percent nylon and ten percent elastan, which gives them a soft, smooth feeling. They are superlich and breathable, exactly what I want in hot weather. I wore them on a camping trip at the Memorial Day weekend and they kept me comfortable all day. The morning were cold, but when the sun came, I was happy to be in something breathable that did not fell.
The fit is more sporty than casual. They are cut shorter than most shorts I wear. The interior is just more than five inches, which means that a good amount of leg remains exposed. For me, the lower hem of the shorts was about three inches above my knees. It got used to a little, but I admit that it was easier to move. Regardless of whether I was sitting, stretched, stretched out or a scooter and got out of the scooter, the shorts moved well to me and never felt tight or uncomfortable.
Federation and adjustability
The federal government really combines stretch and function. It is elastic, which already helps with comfort, but Roark also added an integrated belt strap. This additional grade let me define the shorts just enough to stay all day long. I never had to re -adjust or pull it, even if I did more active things like the transport of firewood or setting up our motorhome. There is also a small plastic loop that is attached to the waistband, where I cut off my keys.
Bags and storage
The happy camper shorts really catch up in the pockets. The two main bags on the front are huge. They jump out of the shorts body. That makes them very spacious and they are lined with a net so that they do not catch any heat. I could easily get into my hands with plenty of space for snacks, equipment or whatever I needed at the campsite.
Here, however, I also have no sure about the design. The way the bags protrude out gives the shorts a more robust, more useful look. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but it made me second clamps whether I liked it, what I looked like in them. I was wearing her again and again to comfort myself, but I noticed that I was more about the look than normally with my other shorts.
There is a small zipper on the right hip, directly under the waistband. The zipper is high quality and a good place for cash, a card or key. There are two more pockets in the back. The right side has a zipper that made it perfect for my wallet. At the top is a narrow bag for a phone. It kept my cell phone safe when I walked around, but I sat down to take it out before I sat down. It is a great design for storage storage.

Real life
I really put these shorts to the test on the Memorial Day weekend. I wore her at the campsite at the campsite while I went with the dogs, ride scooters, cared for the fire and relaxed at the location. They kept great. The fabric snapped or didn’t tear, even after gliding on benches and treated rough wood. I also wore her to work later this week. My building gets hot in summer, and these were a good choice to stay cool while it still looks a bit composed.
Nevertheless, I came back to the same idea every time I wore her. They are comfortable, yes. You are well done, yes. But I am still not quite sold in design. The way the bags are shaped and placed just doesn’t look as clean as I would like it to be. They look more like equipment than clothes. If you agree, you could love them. But for me it prevents them from becoming a top election.

With 75 US dollars, the Roark Happy Camper Shorts are not cheap. But you get some solid functions for the price. The fabric is light and breathable. The federal government is comfortable and adjustable. The bags are functional, even if they are not the most stylish. These come in two colors, black and military green. I selected the black couple, but I don’t think one of the two color changes the strong design of the front pockets.
