We were impressed by this part of Zion and were of the opinion that this was one of the best places in the Zion National Park. This part of the park contains a five miles along the Kolob Canyons Road, which offers an amazing view of the Crimson Canyons. Along this street, visitors have access to various ways and picturesque views. Here in the northwestern corner of the park, narrow parallel box canyons are cut into the western edge of the Colorado plateau and form majestic peaks and 2,000 feet.
Hiking in the Kolob Canyon is different from Zion Canyon because they experience fewer other hikers, but have the same, stunning views. We made the 1 -mile tour to the Kolob Canyon Viewpoint and were not disappointed.
It takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes from the Zion Canyon Visitor Center to get to the entrance to Kolob Canyons. Plan to spend at least half a day to explore this part of the park. If you want to carry out the longer hikes, plan to spend a whole day here.

Timber Creek Overlook Trail: Don’t miss this trail. This simple 1 -mile trail follows a small comb and ends with an amazing look. We went on this path and for a long time sat on the Canyon wall, which held the view of Kolob Canyon’s Viewpoint for a long time. If you look really south, you may see the Mount Trumbull 100 miles on the northern edge of the Grand Canyon. At the beginning of the path there is a nice parking lot and toilets. Timber Creek is one of the child -friendly hikes from Zion National Park! It is perfect if you go to the Zion National Park with a baby or go to the Zion National Park with small children!

Taylor Creek Trail: This moderate 5 -mile trail brings hikers to a box canyon. Here hikers with a view of naturally carved openings in the sandstone are rewarded as a double arch alcove. The trail makes Taylor Creek, so wear shoes that you don’t mind about getting wet. This path also leads hikers into the two historic homeestead!

La Verkin Creek Trail: This moderate 14.0 -mile trail is a great way to get into the true wilderness of Zion. It is not strongly human trafficking. If loneliness is what you are looking for, try this way. An incredible feature of this hike is that hikers lead to Kolob Arch, one of the largest natural arches in the world!
