Trusty Solomon. When you have read one of my shoe reviews, you know that Salomon is my proven favorite. Over the years I have used many models for both street and trail running over the years. I have found that the total of its quality and durability is trustworthy. Last season I carried out a review about the Aero Glide 2 Road Running Shoe and was very satisfied with what I found. In March 2025, Salomon published the updated model Aero Glide 3. This new lighter version of the Aero Glide fly really through my speed work! Or should I say sailing?

Long -lasting quality under construction

Salomon designed the Aero Glide 3 with a remarkable contrast to its trail shoes. The tops are a light textile mesh that breathes really well. The shoe is lined with an ultra smooth lining and I had no problems with hotspots or chafing. The tongue and ankle collar are less bulky than the predecessor of the Aero sliding. The tongue has a retention loop for the shoelaces and lies well above its bow without a bundle or a clearing. The laces are intended with 4 fastening spots on each side and an optional 5th hole when you have to put on the heel. The Aero Glide 3 is very reasonable and a little narrower than the previous model.

The interior sole of the Aero Glide 3 is the removable Salomon orthholic. It was easy to remove and dry completely. Salomon was consistent in her pretty heel cup. The excellent fit eliminates all hotspots in the heel area during long runs. The inside of the heel cup area is lined with a silky smooth material that is vulnerable by the bladder. The midsole is the Salomonfoam Evo, a lightweight foam with superior energy absorption and energy yield.

Salomon overtook the underside of the Aero Glide 3 by completely changing the outsole. The concave space under the healing is twice as large as the size, which makes me feel like running on air. Salomon’s Straße ContaGrip® combines flat, wide tabs to handle on flat, hard surfaces with a connection that balances the durability and liability. They are ideal for the street.

Salomon’s attention to fine details

If you look at the redesigned Aero Glide, you will notice an unusual “fin” on the healing of the shoe. This is because Salomon shifted excess inner material to the outside of the shoe, exactly where it should be. If you tend to blow paragraphs, you are obviously aware of when the thick seam of a healing will be problematic. You won’t find that here! Salomon’s ingenious design for pulling and sewing on the outside of the shoe creates a comfortable, smooth sales cup.

Salomon has the ability to make the most durable shoe out of the thinnest materials. The almost invisible toe protection on the upper of this shoe is surprisingly difficult. The ventilation openings in the toe enable fast water scales if you get a soaker. These may not be functions that you imagine when you look at a shoe for the first time, but if necessary, you are so grateful.

Springweight improvements

Salomon has done a lot of impressive work to fall unnecessary weight of Aero Glides Fantastic Ride. Since the previous model, they have dropped one of the top loops, used lighter material in the upper material and lining and eliminated excess padding in the area of ​​the tongue and heel. The heel for the toe drop was reduced to 8 mm (of 10 mm). A narrower footbed also wears a less obesity. The shoes have a whopping 25 g out of their waist to weigh 205 g.

The Salomonfoam Evo Smaller feels weightless, but magically bouncing. I have the feeling that my foot turnover and my cadence have improved. I am looking for a great season of speed work in this beauty of a shoe.
